Leader Hakeem Jeffries’ Book Event with Liz Cheney

Last night, Democratic U.S. House Leader Hakeem Jeffries and former Congresswoman Liz Cheney showcased Jeffries’ new book, The ABC’s of Democracy. The event was co-hosted by Politics & Prose Bookstore.

The children’s book features illustrations by Shaniya Carrington and is focused on “affirming the values of our great country one letter of the alphabet at a time.” Some famous Virginians were in the audience last night at 6th & I Synagogue in the District of Columbia for the Jeffries event, including former Delegate and candidate for Lt. Governor Hala Ayala and Natalie Shorter.
