Latest polling news in the Harris v. Trump presidential contest:
“Most fascinating data point I’ve seen in public this cycle is post debate ABC poll: Harris at 45% support among white likely voters. Oh u don’t think that’s all tht interesting? Well… if that 45% holds, it would be greater white support than any Dem Pres candidate since 1976,” wrote pollster Cornell Belcher on Sept. 16.
“A Democrat has never led the HarrisX/Harvard national poll in all of 2024. They had Trump up on Biden or Harris by 4-6% in all their polls from January to July; and they had a tie in early September. Their newest national poll has Harris up 52% to 48%,” wrote Daniel Nichanian, Editor of Bolts Magazine.

Loudoun: Richest County in America Kills Idea to Give 60 Poor People $500 a Month
With a median household income of $156,821, Loudoun County has the highest household income of any county in America.
Loundon Now: County supervisors on Tuesday killed a proposal spearheaded by Supervisor Koran T. Saines (D-Sterling) to establish a pilot project giving 60 low-income residents $500 every month for 18 months.
The guaranteed income program, known as the Resident Income Stability Enhancement, or RISE Loudoun, was slated to use $2 million from the county’s budget surplus. Participation would be available to residents at or below 30% of the area median income.
The proposal outlined four main objectives—to identify barriers to opportunities for low-income residents; increase income for households below 30% AMI; assess how an increase in income affects residents’ sense of self-determination, financial stability, sense of belonging and contribution in the community and aspirations for the future; and present pilot performance results to observe impact to the community. I Don’t Do Politics: Pharrell Williams Says Shut Up and Sing: Entertainers Should Stay Out of Politics
“I don’t do politics. In fact, I get annoyed sometimes when I see celebrities trying to tell you [who to vote for],” he candidly told the Hollywood Reporter in a recent interview. Williams, 51, was born and raised in Virginia Beach and graduated from Princess Anne High School.
“There are celebrities that I respect that have an opinion, but not all of them. I’m one of them people [who says], ‘What the heck? Shut up. Nobody asked you,'” he added according to the interview.
In March 2019, Williams launched a three-day music festival in Virginia Beach titled Something in the Water. Though the festival was postponed this year Williams says Something in the Water will return in 2025.
Report: Police Death of Irvo Otieno Points to Need for Reform
Virginia Mercury: A newly released report by the disAbility Law Center of Virginia (dLCV) reveals that the death of Irvo Otieno, who was killed at Central State Hospital in Dinwiddie County by Henrico County sheriff’s deputies on March 6, 2023, could have been prevented had the deputies and hospital staff not used prone restraint, a controversial method of subduing individuals.
“There is serious reform needed in Virginia, because the events that happened to Mr. Otieno resulted in his death, and it got a lot of media attention. But people with mental illness are encountering these issues every single day in Virginia, and we need to do something about it,”
