Vice President Harris at Hampton University
On September 14, Vice President Kamala Harris visited Hampton University on the first stop of her Protecting Our Freedoms tour. Three students at Hampton were permitted to ask the Vice President questions. They asked about sea level rice, climate change and gun safety.

The event had the look and sound of a campaign rally and the Hampton University Band, the Marching Force, was on hand to kick off the one our question and answer session with the Vice President. Newport News Mayor Phil Jones met Harris at Newport News airport.
Congressman Bobby Scott, who has secured billions in HBCU funding as Chair of current ranking member of the U.S. House Committee on Education & the Workforce and Congresswoman Jennifer McClellan, whose father was a professor at Virginia State University, were not able to attend as the event at Hampton was scheduled on a day the U.S. House was in session.
Delegate Matt Fariss Indicted
Cardinal News: A grand jury in Campbell County has indicted Del. Matt Fariss, R-Campbell County, on two felony charges in an alleged hit-and-run that injured a woman he was seeing romantically and led her to obtain a protective order against him. A trial date has been set for Jan. 19 at 9 a.m… Judy Miles, the woman accusing Fariss of purposely striking her with his SUV, was in the passenger seat. Miles testified during a preliminary hearing last month that the couple was on the way from Evington to Halifax, where they planned to have dinner, when a tire blew out. READ ENTIRE
