Virginians at CBC Week #ALC51
WASHINGTON, DC — It’s back. It’s in person and yes because of the DMV-convenient location — it’s full of Virginians. The 51st annual Congressional Black Caucus Foundation’s Annual Legislative Conference is at back in person at the Washington Convention Center.
CBC Week is looking sleeker, more corporate and with an improved layout of the exhibit call which is in a more central location this year. The hall features Black owned businesses, government agencies and political action groups and entities such as Act Blue.
👊🏽 Reps. Scott and McEachin hosted the annual Virginia reception.
Congressman Bobby Scott, Congressman Don McEachin, Congressman Gerry Connolly, State Senator Jennifer McClellan, State Senator candidate and former Delegate Lashrecse Aird, Del. Cia Price, Newport News Mayor McKinley Price, Gaylene Kanoytan, Gary Flowers, Mike Feggans, Victor McKenzie and Xavier Warren. The Presidents of Norfolk State and Virginia State, Dr. Javaune Adams-Gaston and Dr. Makola Abdullah, are also in attendance at CBC Week.
Rep. McEachin and Delegate Lamont Bagby held a session on reducing carbon emissions, climate change and energy policy. Many of the panels during CBC Week cover the most important issues in the Black community.
