17,368 voters removed? As noted last Friday, the Youngkin Administration may have created a new way to remove voters from the voting rolls: Parole violations they are defining as “new” crimes. Last week, the Virginia Department of Elections released its Annual List Maintenance Report (which can be downloaded below). The number of voters removed was outlined in the report and an unusually high number of voters related to felony disenfranchisement was reported.

RICHMOND – The Virginia Department of Elections released its Annual List Maintenance Report last week detailing the cancellation of the voting rights of 17,368 Virginians convicted of a new felony after their voting rights had been restored.
