MERRIFIELD, VA ☘️ Democrats from Fairfax, Norfolk, Virginia Beach and beyond attended Congressman Connolly's 30th Annual St. Patrick's Day Fete! Many candidates for Congress including Del. Briana Sewell, who is running for Congress in Virginia’s 7th district worked the room.
Connolly’s St. Patrick’s Day event is one of the most popular political events of the year in Virginia. State Senator Aaron Rouse, Del. Karen Keys-Gamarra, fmr. Del. Jay Jones, Senate Majority Leader Scott Surovell and State Senator Saddam Salim, and the first woman to lead the Fairfax County Sheriff’s office, Stacey Kincaid, among many other elected officials.
The team from Network NOVA was also in attendance along with many other community leaders, including a group of advocates against Governor Youngkin’s proposal for an arena in the Potomac Yard section of Alexandria.
JD Spain Kickoff Event for Arlington County Board
ARLINGTON, VA — Over 60 people came out to support JD Spain for Arlington County Board on Saturday, March 16. Spain’s energetic kickoff event took place at the new Sabores Tapas Bar on Columbia Pike. Spain, a Marine veteran, has been active in the Arlington community for years.
Attending the kickoff were Arlington Commonwealth’s Attorney Parisa Dehghani-Tafti and Arlington County Board Vice Chair Takis Karantonis. Spain remarked on his involvement in the Arlington community as his supporters cheered him on taking up two sections of the restaurant on a busy Saturday.
Currently, the five members of the Arlington County Board are Karantonis, Chair Libby Garvey, Matt de Ferranti, Susan Cunningham and Maureen Coffey. Early voting begins on May 3 for the June 18 primary.
Carlos Clanton Qualifies First for November Ballot for Norfolk City Council
