NEWPORT NEWS, VA — On August 15 at the W. Henry Maxwell Family Life Center at Ivy Baptist Church in Newport News, Congressman Bobby Scott held the first of two town hall in 14 days — see video here.

A rain storm hit right before for the start of the town hall, but bad weather didn’t stop over 150 people from attending the Scott Newport News town hall. After the Congressman presented a legislative update via powerpoint highlighting federal legislation signed into law over the last two years, Rep. Scott answered about two dozen questions from the audience then spoke with constituents one-on-one after the formal part of the event was over.
