FAIRFAX, VA — Newly minted House of Delegates Leader Don Scott of Portsmouth, Virginia Democratic House Caucus Chair Del. Charniele Herring of Alexandria and Fairfax County School Board member Karen Keys-Gamarra, were among those present.
Last night the Fairfax Democrats met in person for their Blue Fairfax Dinner. Very good turnout after two years of COVID-19 and the defeat of all statewide Democrats in 2021. The Democrats may be in rebuilding mode as they head into midterm elections, but the dinner last night was a good sign for them that team blue’s Fairfax faithful is fully getting back into the game.
Congressman Jamie Raskin of Maryland was the keynote speaker. His work on the January 6th Committee is slowly making him in to a national figure.
