Fairfax Keynotes Alpha Phi Alpha Founders Day Breakfast
WOODBRIDGE, VA — This morning at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Woodbridge, the Alpha Phi Alpha Area IV Founders Day Breakfast took place. Over 250 members of the oldest intercollegiate historically African American fraternity gathered two days before the annual Founders Day celebration on Monday, Dec. 4.
The storied fraternity includes many members who have made history including the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr., Paul Robeson, Thurgood Marshall, Andrew Young, Gov. Wes Moore and billionaire Robert Smith.
In Virginia, notable Alpha members include MLK’s Chief of Staff Wyatt Tee Walker, Congressman Bobby Scott, soon-to-be House Speaker Don Scott and Virginia’s 41st Lt. Governor Justin Fairfax, who delivered this morning’s keynote in Woodbridge event today.
