Kimberly Pope Adams Doubles Kim Taylor’s Cash on Hand

THE REMATCH IN HD-82. Democrat Kimberly Pope Adams has out-raised her incumbent, Republican Del. Kim Taylor, in one of the most competitive and closely watched races on Virginia’s 2025 map.

“Demonstrating strong grassroots momentum in the race for HD-82, Kimberly Pope Adams announced raising $103,043 in the first quarter from nearly 850 individual donors, compared to just 36 donors for her opponent, Kim Taylor. The overwhelming support underscores voters’ enthusiasm for new leadership. Adams will also enter the second quarter with nearly double Taylor’s cash on hand, reporting $119,534 to Taylor’s $61,038,” a press release today from the campaign of Kim Pope Adams revealed.

Adams’ release also referenced a growing problem for Republicans in 2025: Having to defend the policy decisions of President Trump.
