In yet another competitive primary that featured the issue of the “missing middle” and affordable housing, Spain held weekend canvas kickoffs that featured several of the most energetic rising stars in Virginia including State Senator and 2025 candidate for LG Aaron Rouse, State Senator Saddam Salim and others. The final results in this ranked choice voting race will likely arrive on Friday.
Arlington Board member Libby Garvey’s departure opened up a seat on the Board in one of the most expensive places in Virginia to buy a home. Natalie Roy came in behind Spain with 29% and Tenley Peterson placed third.
