CollectivePAC Endorses Phil Jones for Newport News Mayor
👊🏽 COLLECTIVE PAC ENDORSES JONES FOR NEWPORT NEWS MAYOR. The Collective PAC, the nation’s largest political action committee dedicated to increasing Black political engagement, representation, and power across all levels of government — endorsed a slate of 42 candidates for state and local races across 23 states.
COLLECTIVE PAC was launched five years by Quentin and Stephanie James.
The Newport News race for Mayor is one of the hardest races of the 2022 cycle in Virginia to predict. There are four candidates on the ballot: Phil Jones, Tina Vick, Saundra Cherry and David Jenkins. The candidates will share the ballot with federal election candidates for Congress — so predicting the winner will be even trickier than usual.
FROM COLLECTIVE PAC: “The Collective PAC is focused on creating a truly equitable democracy where our nation’s local, state, and federal governments have diverse and talented elected leadership and Black people are fully represented in positions of power.”
Richmond: Crab & Q to Honor Lt. Governor Winsome Sears
