Fauquier NAACP Announces the Death of Dr. Ellsworth Weaver

Dr. Ellsworth Weaver was the President of the Fauquier NAACP

NAACP Fauquier County Branch: It is with deep sadness that we share the news of the passing of our leader, President Dr. Ellsworth Weaver 🌹He passed away this morning, January 6th at 6:45am at Fauquier Hospital.

We ask that you keep his wife, Taryn and his family in your prayers. Details regarding arrangements will be shared once they become available.

Please honor his memory by continuing the fight for justice. In a note published in August 2022, President Weaver closed with the following:

“As the President of this great Branch of the NAACP, I remain committed to fulfilling our mission, and will continue to encourage others to promote and stand for justice and equity for all people of color. These times in which we live affect all of us, and we must make sacrifices that have not been common in our day-to-day lives before. I pray that all nations will live in peace as we continue to address today’s challenge. “May God Bless America” and, please, “Stay Vertical”.
