The candidates featured on this podcast are retired Virginia State Police Leonard Lacy (HD64), retired Air Force Master Sergeant Michael Feggans (HD97), engineer and city strategist Bonita Anthony (HD92), Roanoke City Councilwoman Trish White-Boyd who is running for the Virginia Senate in SD04, retired Army Lt. Colonel Myra Payne and health care worker and activist Jolicia Ward, who is running for the State Senate in SD25.
In 103 days, November 7, 2023, all 140 seats in the Virginia General Assembly will be voted on. The election is a crucial political tests before the 2024 presidential race gets into full swing. Republicans in Virginia are trying to win control of the Virginia Senate. Democrats in Virginia are trying to win back the Virginia House after losing control in 2021 as Republican Governor Glenn Youngkin swept in to office after defeating former Governor Terry McAuliffe.
