Two Key Congressional Races in Virginia: CD7 and CD2
CD7: This morning Democrat Eugene Vindman was one of the first to vote as his polling location. His Republican challenger Derick Anderson was also out campaigning early in Election Day. The 7th congressional district is viewed as one of the most competitive in Virginia.
CD2: In Virginia’s 2nd congressional district, Democrat Missy Cotter Smasal is taking on GOP incumbent Jen Kiggans. Kiggans held a well attended rally last night in Virginia Beach with Gov. Glenn Youngkin.
CD5
In the 5th congressional district in Virginia, Democrat Gloria Witt is taking on State Senator John McGuire. The district leans red but in a year with a historic candidate on the ballot CD5 and CD1 should be watched closely.
Are Lawmakers in the House of Delegates Ghosting College Students and on Campus Protest Rules?

Before the Virginia legislature’s last special session adjourned, the House of Delegates formed a committee to examine how colleges and universities statewide handle campus safety. The committee formed in the wake of a series of campus protests over the ongoing Israel-Hamas war last spring that led to the arrests of dozens of students and faculty members, and criticisms of how some institutions responded to the demonstrations.
But after five months, there has yet to be a hearing or word on when one will occur. READ ENTIRE
