Black Federal Employees Targeted in Public Blacklist as Trump’s Assault on Inclusion Continues
By Stacy Brown for Black Press USA - A right-wing nonprofit backing Donald Trump has published the names and photos of more than 50 federal employees, many of them Black, in a move that civil rights advocates warn could endanger lives and deepen systemic discrimination in government agencies.
The “DEI bureaucrat watch list,” compiled by the American Accountability Foundation, identifies workers based on their support for diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, past social media activity, or donations to Democratic candidates.
The employees — many of them serving at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the National Institutes of Health and other federal health agencies — have been labeled by the organization as “woke DEI devotees” and targets for termination under Trump’s administration. The group claims these individuals are “anti-American bad actors.”
The organization has circulated dossiers detailing their purported offenses, which include reposting content about racial disparities in healthcare or making critical remarks about Trump’s policies.
Supporters of the targeted workers have expressed alarm, warning that the public identification of government employees in this manner could lead to harassment, violence, and job loss.
One federal employee, whose name appeared on the list, told The New York Times, “My name and picture are out there. In 2025, it’s very simple to Google and look up someone’s home address. What happens next?” Another individual described the move to NBC News as “psychological warfare” against civil servants simply trying to do their jobs. READ ENTIRE
Speaker Scott’s Mid Session Black & White Gala
Speaker Don Scott’s Black & White Gala. A welcomed bipartisan break at crossover during the legislative session was enjoyed by a few hundred lawmakers, constituents, activists, lobbyists and policy advocates last night. The bipartisan event at Dover Hall near Short Pump was crowded and a welcomed break after weeks of work and news of a virus keeping many down for the count — including Lt. Governor Winsome Sears.
State Senators L. Louise Lucas, Mamie Locke and Aaron Rouse, Gov. Glenn Youngkin, Governor L. Douglas Wilder and Congressman Bobby Scott among many others, joined Speaker Scott for a much needed break with two weeks left in Virginia’s legislative session. This year’s session is the “short” session and the politics of statewide competitions and a gubernatorial race will be fully underway after the session is over.
Virginia’s HBCUs and Hampton Roads was well represented. Virginia State President Dr. Makola Abdullah, Dr. Wes Bellamy, Virginia Union President Dr. Hakim Lucas and Hampton President Darrell Williams were in attendance.

Will Glenn Youngkin Protect Virginia from Elon Musk?
The phones of members of Congress are blowing up. Democrats in the U.S. Senate are slowing down the nomination of Trump OMB nominee Russell Vought. Democrats in the U.S. House are turning up at rallies at federal office buildings. Town halls are being held and are crowded. Federal employees in northern Virginia are turning up at rallies outside of the Department of Treasury, the Office of Management and Budget and other agencies.
An open and unanswered question: Will Virginia’s Governor Glenn Youngkin ask any questions of the Trump Administration as a federal workforce anchored in Northern Virginia is dismantled by a South African white supremacist? Gov. Youngkin was at The White House for the signing of an executive order. Today, Youngkin was back in Washington again for the National Prayer Breakfast. Will Youngkin ask questions about the economic damage Trump’s Administration is causing?

Hundreds gathered outside the General Assembly Wednesday to protest the Trump Administration’s early actions, including the slew of executive orders presented by the president and Project 2025.
The demonstration was one of many nationwide as part of the 50 Protests, 50 States, One Day initiative known as 50501. The movement has no central leadership or organization behind it. Instead, citizens organized the series of protests online using the hashtags #50501 and #buildtheresistance. Protesters voiced their frustration through chants, signs and speeches.
Throughout the rally, attendees specifically spoke out against Department of Government Efficiency head Elon Musk’s role in President Donald Trump’s campaign, the changes being made to immigration laws, restrictions on transgender youth’s rights and more.
Participants chanted phrases such as “Congress, wake up,” “We’re not going back” and “We are the people.” Many speakers emerged spontaneously during the event to condemn Trump, emphasizing the importance of voting and urging the crowd to stay informed.
The nationwide protests come amid citizens’ escalating concerns over the executive orders Trump began signing on Jan. 20, which included ending federal diversity, equity and inclusion programs, targeting transgender rights, and affecting immigration policy.
Several bills responding to the executive orders passed through the Virginia Senate and House Wednesday, including SB1098. The bill protects healthcare providers offering reproductive and gender-affirming care services from out-of-state. It prohibits the extradition of any person charged with a crime that is legal within Virginia and passed mostly along party lines, 21-19.
There were also laws passed related to voter access. HB2276 puts in place a framework for maintaining accurate voter lists, verifying voter records, and sharing voter information.
“Thousands upon thousands of federal workers across Virginia who’s jobs and livelihoods are homes are at risk because of this president’s illegal acts,” Del. Alfonso Lopez, D-Arlington, told the protesters.
