CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA — The University of Virginia began an exhibition showcasing portraits by photographer Rufus Holsinger of African Americans in Central Virginia in September 2022. The exhibit is in the Main Gallery, Harrison Institute and Small Special Collections Library, University of Virginia at 170 McCormick Road, Charlottesville. The exhibit ends June 24.
Last weekend, the Small Special Collections Library held an open house “family day” that also featured an outside portrait studio by Richmond photographer E.A. White demonstrating the production of tintype photographic images.
