Aug 20: Richmond Gun Buy-Back

GIFT CARDS FOR GUNS. A gun buy-back event will take place in Richmond, Virginia on August 20, 2022. Gift cards (not cash) will be offered in exchange for guns in the amounts of:

Assault weapons: $250, Handguns: $250, Rifles: $150 and Guns that don’t work: $25.

Location: Liberation Church, 5501 Midlothian Turnpike, Richmond, Va.

Anyone handing in firearms must be OVER 18 — this is interesting since those under 18 are in an at-risk population for gun violence. But generally, gun buy-backs have been successful in other cities and Richmond’s should be no exception.
