Cutting Health Care Then Writing Letters Admitting That What You Voted for Was a Bad Idea: Rep. Jen Kiggans Leads Letter Asking Senate to Change Bill She Voted For

Virginia Beach Republican Rep. Jen Kiggans (R-VA) voted YES on Trump’s budget that will kill health care for roughly 16 million people by 2034. In that same legislation were several policy repeals of Biden’s 2022 Inflation Reduction Act. The legislation is a point of obsession for President Trump. This week, it was announced that the Trump Administration was killing a $20 million grant that would assist with flooding in the historic Black community of Aberdeen Gardens in Hampton.

What the bill also proposed — with 100 percent Republican support from all the GOP members of the Virginia delegation — is to cut provisions related to clean energy. Rep. Kiggans and Republicans voted to cut
