3,735 Traffic Stops in Roanoke and Black Drivers
Earlier this month an analysis of traffic stop data from 2020 — over 3,735 traffic stops — showed that Black drivers are stopped 1.2 times more than white drivers. The analysis of 3,735 traffic stops, 615 searches and 125 arrests, included 1,755 summons issues and 487 warnings given by Roanoke Police.
