HAMPTON, VA — On June 8 in Hampton and Newport News, the much loved and respected football coach Tommy Reamon, Sr. was honored by family, friends and the players he mentored to major success. Coach Reamon died on May 22, 2025 at 73, but the legacy of his connection with the young men he coached at football camps and during high school football season lives on.
During his time as a high school coach in Newport News, Coach Reamon mentored future NFL quarterbacks Aaron Brooks and Michael Vick. Coach Reamon also coached Marcus Vick who became a standout quarterback at Virginia Tech and also played in the NFL.
